Our annual post-Halloween gathering and chili contest is scheduled to happen October 31 from 8:00-9:30 PM after trick-or-treating!

When: Thursday, October 31, 2019

8:00 – 9:15 P.M. (after Trick or Treat)

Where: University View playground/block house/shelter house

Free: hot dogs; hot chocolate; hot & cold cider; donuts; chili

Donations accepted

Chili contest: traditional (beef) or non-traditional (chicken, vegetarian, vegan, etc.)

After the judging, we serve the chili.  (FREE!)

1st place in each category: $25

Several of our usual volunteers for this event will be out of town so we DESPERATELY need at LEAST 4-5 new volunteers to help during this 90-minute event. It involves concession stand work, preparing and serving food and general clean up.

IF WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS WE MAY NEED TO SCALE BACK THE EVENT OR EVEN CANCEL. Please do not let this happen to a favorite neighborhood event.
