Long UV time resident, Helen Elliott passes

From the Columbus Dispatch: Helen Lucretia Nicholson Elliott, age 108, of Columbus, Ohio, died June 19, 2022, at home. Helen was born in 1913 in Greens Fork, Indiana, to John S. Nicholson and Flora Strickler Nicholson. Preceded in death by her husband A. Bernard Elliott in 1946, brothers Harold E. Nicholson, Kenneth J. Nicholson and Lowell S. Nicholson, and sisters Erma N. Barber, Olive N. Brooks, and Nina Cranor. She leaves three daughters, Lynne Decker, Westerville, Ohio, Marta (Kenneth) Thurston, Alpharetta, Georgia, and Marcia (Kelii) Mawae, Ho’olehua, Hawaii. She is also survived by granddaughter, Nicole A. Repasky, Jersey City, New Jersey; grandsons, Patrick Thurston, Maui, Hawaii, and Kurt Decker, Columbus, Ohio; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Helen was associated with the Federal Government for 30 years, having started her career in the offices of the Chairman of the Social Security Board in Washington, D.C., and retiring from the Social Security Administration in Columbus, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 1373 Grandview Avenue, Columbus OH, 43212, or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Helen lived a long and happy life and many people will miss her.
