Long time resident, Diane Whalen passed away April 1st, 2022. Diane was an active attendee of the township meetings as well as in the UVCA. She could always be counted on to help plan many of the events as well as help run the concessions stand and interacting with the neighbors. Diane gave much of her life to making other lives better especially in her career at Ohio State working with children dealing with the effects of cancer, orchestrating the start of the ‘Balloon Brigade.’ Diane also helped mold the lives of many children, teaching Sunday School and leading the Children’s Choir at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and as a troop leader through with years of leadership for Girl Scouts. As busy as she was with that, she still gave of her time to care for children of busy parents in her home for many years before illness prevented her from continuing.
