Westbound Third Avenue To Be Detoured

Detour expected to last about three weeks

On Monday, April. 23, 2018, weather dependent, westbound 3rd Avenue will be detoured at Olentangy River Rd, except for local business traffic. The detour is expected to be in place for about three weeks to allow for bridge foundation construction of railroad bridge nearby.

The detour is as follows:

Primary Detour: Westbound traffic shall be detoured at Olentangy River Road North to W. Fifth Avenue, then west to Northwest Boulevard, and finally south back to W. Third Avenue,  OR Olentangy River Road South to Goodale Boulevard, then West to Northwest Boulevard, and finally north back to W. Third Avenue.

Secondary Detour: Wastbound traffic shall be detoured at Olentangy River Road North to W. 5th Avenue, then West to Edgehill Road, and finally south back to W. Third Avenue, OR  Olentangy River Road South to Goodale Boulevard, then west to Bobcat Avenue, and finally north back to W. Third Avenue.

Local business access will remain open on Third Avenue up to the Fire Station.  In addition, access to the Stefanie Spielman Center off of Third Avenue shall remain open.  Business access on Third Avenue west of the Fire Station shall follow the posted detour.
