The UVCA hosted its annual Begger’s Night Bonfire and Chili Cookoff at the playground October 31.

TRADITIONAL CHILI WINNER: Jane Margiotta; Runner Up:  Bobbie Olt

NON-TRADITIONAL CHILI WINNER: Pat Deacon; (Turkey Taco with Avocado Sour Cream) Runner Up: Deb Sweeny (Southwest Chicken Chili)

Winners each received $25.00.  We had 7 entries, so plenty of chili was available to share…and boy did we need it!  Lots of neighbors showed up with their ghouls, goblins, princesses and other costumed kids.  The UVCA provided free food–hot dogs, hot chocolate, cider, S’mores, Doughnuts, and marshmallows for roasting!  It was great to see so many new and familiar faces of all ages come out and participate!
